Dr. Lisa Thomas is an accomplished health and wellness professional with expertise in the fields of nutrition, human physiology anatomy, biomechanics, and applied psychology. Dr. Thomas offers this expertise with over 20 years of experience, to help individuals achieve their health and wellness goals.
As an approved partner with FitNMeet, Dr. Thomas works with a diverse population of clients in the areas of nutrition, health, and wellness. She helps them identify personal strengths and areas for growth and offers supportive collaboration for clients to develop personalized strategies for overall personal improvement.
Dr. Thomas is a certified Nutrition Coach(PN1-NC), Board Certified Health/Wellness; Life Coach (BCC), and holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her academic achievements demonstrate her commitment to continuous learning and personal growth. Dr. Thomas’ previous experiences include being Director of Health and club manager for three multi-million dollar health club facilities.
Other relevant experience:
As a licensed therapist she worked in sub-acute rehabilitation using her knowledge of the body to treat adults and children who had sustained spinal cord and/or brain injuries. In this role, Dr. Thomas worked as part of a team of medical professionals gaining experience collaborating with medical doctors, nurses, neurologists, physical and occupational therapists, speech pathologists, Social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers.
As an educator of applied sciences, Dr. Thomas is well-versed in nutritional and physical processes and has instructed courses in health and wellness, aromatherapy, myofascial release, clinical and sports massage, neuromuscular therapy techniques, craniosacral therapy, Anatomy, Biomechanics, applied kinesiology, pathology, and physiology, eastern theory and practice, reflexology, mindfulness, and meditation.
